How should I prepare for my appointment?

We ask that you come to your appointment without any eye makeup on. This would include refraining from curling your eyelashes or wearing mascara the day of your appointment. This will ensure the process goes a little faster since we won't have to remove your makeup first.

Will it ruin my natural lashes or make them fall out? 
Eyelash extensions will not damage your natural lashes. Our lashes naturally go through a cycle of growth and falling out like hair on other areas of our body. Your lash professional is trained to attach extensions to your fully mature lashes to allow the younger lashes to grow. When it is time to get your lashes filled these young lashes will be mature and strong enough to hold the extension. It may seem more noticeable when your lashes fall out because the extension is attached to it and easier to see. If/when you decide to go back to your natural lashes they will seem shorter and sparser once you become accustomed to the fuller look of extensions.

How long will my appointment take? 
Typically, the first time you get eyelash extensions it will take 1.5 to 2.5 hours depending on thickness and fullness of your eyelashes. We make sure you are comfortable before we begin. You will be laying on a comfortable spa bed with your eyes closed throughout the process. The environment is designed to let you relax and many of our clients actually fall asleep.

Subsequent appointments for filling in eyelashes will be much shorter and will depend on how long it has been since your original appointment.

How long will my lash extensions last?

Depending on your skincare routine and your natural lash growth cycle, you can expect your lashes to last between 2-4 weeks.

How often should I get my lashes filled? 
We recommend every 2 to 4 weeks. Various factors will affect how quickly your lashes will fall out including exposure to humidity, steam or touching your eyes frequently. If you wait too long many of your lashes will fall out and a new full set of lashes might be required. We recommend coming in when your lashes are between 50%-60% full to get them refilled.

Can I wear mascara with eyelash extensions? 
Eyelash extensions are not designed to be used with mascara. They can cause the adhesive used to attach the lashes to dissolve and your extensions to fall out sooner. You can use mascara on your bottom lashes but we advise you to use a extension safe kind (ask about what we have available for you here). That way if some of the mascara gets on your extensions it won't cause any issues.

What about swimming, exercising, and showering while wearing eyelash extensions?
You can continue to do all of these activities while wearing eyelash extensions. It would be best to wait 24 hours after getting your lashes filled before washing the area around your eyes to allow the glue to bond completely. 
 

How do I take care of my eyelash extensions?

• Do not get your eyelashes wet or go tanning for 24 hours after application.

• Do not run water directly on your eyelashes.

• Do not use oil-based eye makeup remover.

• Try not to rub, pick or pull on you eyelashes.

• We will supply you with an eyelash brush for you to use to keep your eyelashes from sticking together or facing the wrong direction.
